The Allied Health Professions Department within the School of Health Sciences at Liberty University invites applications for a residential adjunct position in Athletic Training starting July 1, 2025.
The most competitive applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and possess a Biblical worldview that aligns with the university's mission. Adjuncts need to passionately support the LU mission to equip future champions for Christ with an education in fidelity to the Christian faith expressed through Holy Scriptures. Additionally, adjuncts must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the Department Chair, other faculty, and students, at all times. Adjunct faculty will also be expected to take advantage of teaching moments and opportunities using weekly announcements and emails.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Teach residential, undergraduate courses for the Allied Health Professions Department as assigned.
- Teach material from approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students in the form of assessments, grading, email, and other requested formats.
- Advises students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
- Maintains and reports student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
- Participates in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and offering support, as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies:
- Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or a related discipline area.
- Minimum Qualification: BOC for Athletic Trainers certified (ATC credential)
- Minimum Qualification: Licensed (or willing to become) athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Virginia (LAT credential)
- Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification is preferred but not required (CES credential)
- Recognized academic and/or professional background.
- Committed to the evangelical standards and mission of Liberty University.
