Ivy Tech Bloomington is searching for part-time Math adjunct faculty to teach in person courses. Specific needing instructors for college algebra, and finite mathematics in a variety of course modalities. Must be able to maintain an on campus classroom presence as well as a virtual presence via Zoom. Experience with online homework platforms such as Canvas and various classroom technologies is preferred. Morning, afternoon, and evening options are available for June and August start dates.
Adjuncts are eligible to teach up to 13 contact hours per week. They are paid $46.75 per contact hour (hours with students). When completing the application, applicants should also include an unofficial copy of transcripts showing the minimum qualifications of a master's degree or higher.

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
- Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance withCollege policy and course objectives.
- Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
- Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies withCollege policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
- Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.
- All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotionof diversity of people, styles, and views.

A qualified faculty member in mathematics meets the discipline standard through one of two routes:
- Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in mathematics; or
- Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics-related courses.
