Position Summary
The part-time Learning Experience Designer will support the development of high quality and innovative learning experiences in support of a research grant. This position will work closely with our content and lab development teams to create engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences within the Haiku Cyber Range environment. The Learning Experience Designer will leverage knowledge of learning science, instructional design, and educational technologies to develop and enhance cybersecurity training programs. This role translates complex technical concepts into accessible, interactive learning materials that cater to diverse learner needs and preferences.
This position is 100% grant funded.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate on the design of innovative learning experiences in the Haiku Cyber Range environment.
- Apply learning engineering tools and techniques to support the creation of innovative content to support student learning in the Haiku environment.
- Support the creation of multimedia content for enhanced learning.
- Contribute to the development of graphics and visual aids.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning materials.
- Enhance the learning process through interactive and visual elements.

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in instructional design, communication, education, or related field required.
- Graduate degree in instructional design, communication, education, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience required.
- Experience using the Haiku Cyber Range preferred.
- Experience with Articulate Storyline and Learning Management Systems preferred.
- Design and develop eLearning and instructional materials that scale to support localization, and content is easily managed preferred.
- Develop templates and enforce style guides to ensure consistency across all material preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials in all modalities, including ILT, eLearning, video scripts required.
- Demonstrated use of multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes required.
- Demonstrated adult learning implementation and experience driving performance through impactful training required.
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week Monday-Friday.
- Must have a personal computer and the ability to facilitate online collaboration and communications remotely.
- Participate actively as a team member, contributing fully to the team's efforts and the organization's success.
- Must reside in the United States and be a U.S. citizen.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
