Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Customer Accounts the Customer Accounts Specialist is responsible for timely invoicing, collections, and maintenance of external customer billing for Mass General Brigham companies. The Specialist will demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills combined with a proven ability to interact with a wide range of professionals both internal and external to Mass General Brigham. This position operates within a central team and requires enterprise-wide customer service support in addition to portfolio level assignments.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for billing, collections, and customer resolution.
- Generate customer invoices, perform collections, and resolve credit balances.
- Review and resolve Account Receivable balances.
- Investigate and resolve credit balances within established policy and procedural deadlines, including real-time documentation and issuance of refunds.
- May create, monitor, and close funds using the combined technology of Workday and Insight.
Bachelor's Degree Accounting required
Accounting, billing, finance or related experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong accounting, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Advanced skills using Excel and Outlook.
Detail orientation and excellent follow-through with minimal supervision are required.
Strong customer service aptitude with a proven ability to work well with others.
