Position Summary
This position provides leadership and specialized support on information technology equipment and systems for the business, research, and instructional functions of users. Position involves the advanced use of software and/or hardware tools to provide ongoing services, and responsibilities require expertise with core infrastructure elements and how they interrelate to provide a cohesive computing environment requires knowledge regarding installation, and modification of software and hardware, testing, and documentation on a variety of platforms.
Work will include interaction with users, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems related to the use of single and/or multiple information systems. This position includes being a technical mentor for less experienced technical staff regarding system and desktop matters.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assigns staff responsibilities for planning and implementing new and revised programs.
Knows and applies concepts, practices and procedures of supervision and leadership.
Monitors impact of time, finances, resources and quality of services or projects.
Seeks guidance on unusual matters from management as appropriate.
Relies on expertise and judgment to determine, plan and monitor work of the technical unit.
Manages the comprehensive resource and technology base of the Business Unit to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of assigned objectives and programs.
Uses strong technical skills to direct and assist staff.
Measures employee results and initiates personnel actions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$75,200.00 - $128,800.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
