Radiography Program Director Description:
South College invites applications for the position of Radiography Program Director at the South College Marietta Campus. The Program Director will work on initiating existing South College program offerings by providing leadership and commitment to innovative and relevant education for students.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration and consultation with faculty to promote maximum commitment and results
- Maintaining high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service
- Leading efforts for program initiation to include the securing of appropriate clinical sites
- Acquiring programmatic accreditation
- Completing and administering the learning site budget allocations; recruiting, hiring, and evaluating faculty
- Organizing student advising procedures
- Organizing faculty teaching loads and quarterly class schedules
- Developing and maintaining collaborations with other colleges/programs for interprofessional educational opportunities
- Provide instruction for courses each quarter
- Working with the main campus in relation to planning and assessment
- Representing the program in the community at large
Requirements
Education
- Earned master’s degree in radiologic science or related field
- ARRT Certification in Radiography and in good standing
Experience- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in imaging sciences
- Minimum of 2 years of academic appointment with teaching responsibilities
- Familiarity with JRCERT accreditation processes
- Curriculum development experience
- Familiarity with planning, assessment, and evaluation processes
