LPN Program Coordinator Description:
South College invites applications for the position of LPN Program Coordinator for the School of Nursing at the South College Pittsburgh Campus. The LPN Program Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of Nursing and is responsible for supervising all aspects of the Certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously reviewing, planning, developing, and implementing improvements within the department
- Supervise faculty within the department
- Teach courses in your assigned area,
- Work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction
- Responsible for faculty training and development
- Coordination and administration of the academic program for achievement of student outcomes.
The LPN Program Coordinator will need to have a working presence on the campus. Some evening hours will be expected and courses taught will also be during evening hours. Supervision of weekend clinicals may also be expected.
This is a 40-hour week position.
Requirements
Candidates must evidence the following:
- Minimum of an earned Master of Science degree in Nursing
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Hold an unrestricted RN license to practice in PA or in one of the eNLC compact states.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania Board of Nursing
- Proficiency in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning
