DNP NAP Didactic Education Coordinator Description
South College Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia Program (DNP NAP) is searching for an enthusiastic and flexible team member, for a full-time position as the Didactic Education Coordinator. Full-time employment is based on 40 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours may be occasionally required. The Didactic Education Coordinator reports to the program administrative team and relevant faculty. The DNP NAP is looking to continue our tradition of an excellent staff and faculty team within the program that is dedicated to respect and honesty to each other and our communities of interest.
The DNP NAP Didactic Education Coordinator will be integral in the assessment tracking and maintenance of excellence in the didactic education of our student nurse anesthetists. The qualified applicant will join a team with two other administrative staff members, an overall Director of Operations, and a Clinical Education Coordinator, while also working alongside 13 Full-Time faculty team members. We are a dynamic and collaborative group, and staff input is sought and respected in team decision-making. Come join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Assists the DNP NAP administrative and faculty team in planning, managing, and directing activities related to the educational assessment and tracking operations of the didactic curriculum.
- Regularly obtain and store student assessment records/evaluations and record mandatory attendance scores.
- Assists the student body and faculty in advising session scheduling.
- Regularly monitors the administration of high stakes technology-proctored examinations, assists in troubleshooting in-exam challenges and reviews the video recordings for violation flag evaluation
- Collaborates with instructional design (IDT) and faculty in blueprint and live course preparation
- Assists in preparing quarterly class and exam schedules.
- Assists in the preparation of the quarterly booklists per institutional deadlines.
- Assists in the quarterly and longitudinal assessment data tracking for didactic courses through use of assessment software.
- Assists in the preparation of program assessment data for ongoing quality assurance and accreditation reports.
- Assists in data collection and recordkeeping for the implementation and maintenance of the required program and student data, including student course evaluations and faculty course analyses.
- Assists in planning for overall educational program evaluation, including bi-annual assessment retreats.
- Assists in oversight, planning and organization of DNP NAP student on-campus intensive sessions, events and ceremonies.
- The applicant must be able develop knowledge of and respect for those of differing cultures and backgrounds and possess the skills to engage with diverse populations.
- Assists in prospective student application review and interview sessions.
- Other administrative and support duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree is required, or relevant experience in educational assessment.
Experience
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software is required.
- Experience in education administration or business administration is required.
- Experience in learning management systems (Canvas is used at SC), examination software and related products is strongly preferred.
- Experience or formal instruction in educational assessment data collection, data management and curricular planning is preferred.
- Strong experience in a fast-paced, complex and service-based work environment.
- Expert project management and proactive communication skills.
