The Opportunity:
UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being LEAD Scholars Academy is currently accepting applications for an Academic Program Coordinator I. The Coordinator for LEAD Scholars Academy will be responsible for developing and delivering a quality and comprehensive leadership education program to the undergraduate student body. The incumbent will implement various leadership tracks intended for transfer and third and fourth-year students, among other specified student leader groups throughout campus. Other responsibilities include formulating a plan of action to market and promote the various leadership tracks, overseeing the Virtual Leadership Academy, teaching academic credit leadership courses, assessment of leadership program outcomes, and assisting with the LEAD Scholars academic program workshops, activities and initiatives.
This is a one-year visiting position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time of funding for employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver a quality and comprehensive leadership education program to the undergraduate student body.
Implement various leadership tracks intended for transfer and third/fourth year students, among other specified student leader groups throughout the campus.
Formulate a plan of action to market and promote the various leadership tracks.
Oversee the Virtual Leadership Academy and supervise student staff.
Oversee the U-LEAD program.
Teach academic credit leadership courses.
Assess leadership program outcomes.
Assist with various LEAD Scholars Academy academic program workshops, activities, and initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
