Position Summary

The Operations & Facilities Management Department at WashU Medicine is committed to delivering a comprehensive range of services to support the medical campus.

We oversee maintenance and operations for 65 buildings, covering more than 11.1 million gross square feet of space. This includes the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building, which houses one of the world’s highest concentrations of neuroscientists. Our responsibilities include operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management.

Furthermore, as the School of Medicine continues to expand its presence both on and off campus in areas such as teaching, clinical care, and research, our team remains instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of clinical care, advancing research initiatives, and facilitating educational endeavors.

Provides timely and accurate information to space systems supporting resource allocations and indirect cost negotiations. Produces and updates computerized space allocation drawings. Manages all drawing and data updates. Supports complex departmental and enterprise projects for the Office of Facilities Management Department.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintains accurate data in the space system.
Manages the medical school portion of the annual space survey and coordinates with Central Admin Finance and all department administrators.
Maintains all construction documents, drawings, specifications, books, maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and project-related correspondence.
Field verifies renovated, new construction, and newly acquired space, providing photos as needed, and prepares room numbering for all new construction and renovation projects.
Conducts field verification reviews and quarterly department audits, runs reports as needed, and creates manual reports at the end of each fiscal year.
Coordinates special projects (i.e., WUMC maps, Community Unit Plan, etc.).
Assists consultants, contractors, architects, and engineers in retrieving archived project drawings; maintains the large-format copier; and performs other tasks as assigned.

Salary Range

$25.47 - $39.49 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
