Course Description:
This course introduces the principles and practices of securing information systems in today’s digital landscape. It covers the approaches for safeguarding systems against evolving cyber threats through the development and application of security policies, authentication protocols, and encryption methods. It also covers the use of firewalls (internal and external) for network security, intrusion detection systems, and techniques for securing operating systems, databases, and web applications.

Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Digital Transformation and Innovation, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
- Strong academic background with research focused on cybersecurity techniques and technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, security policies and governance, encryption methods, user authentication and authorization, and the protection of networks, operating systems, applications, and databases.
- Published research in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences in the field of cybersecurity.
- Experience teaching related courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
