South College is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Director of Clinical Education to join our Asheville Campus.
Job Duties:
· Maintain responsibility for the clinical education component of the Respiratory Therapy Program
· Serve as a liaison between the academic institution and the affiliating clinical facilities
· Oversees the preparation, assignment, and supervision of students while on clinical rotations
· Recruits and develops clinical affiliation sites as needed
· Maintaining and updating clinical site affiliation agreements
· Responsible for annual clinical education program assessment and review with the Program Director to enhance the clinical education experience
· Serve as a member of the faculty team providing course instruction in the program
Requirements
· Minimum of 4 years experience as a RRT with at least 2 years experience in clinical respiratory therapy
· Minimum of 2 years experience as a faculty or clinical preceptor in a CoARC accredited program
· Must possess a current state license to practice as an RRT
· Must possess current NBRC RRT certification
· Must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred. Candidates enrolled in a bachelor's degree may be considered on a transitional basis.
