About the Department
The Li lab is associated with Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology and its main research interest is in the gastrointestinal and immune systems. The current research projects are focused on gut mucosal homeostasis, intestinal senescence, colon cancer, mucosal inflammation and innate immunity.
Job Summary
A Research Professional is sought to work on intestinal mucosal homeostasis, with a particular focus on understanding the development of mucosal inflammation and intestinal inflammatory disease.
Responsibilities
- Plans, executes, facilitates and advances the scientific research projects. Analyzes and interprets the scientific data.
- Develops and tests experimental protocols.
- Collaborates with other researchers.
- Participates in the preparation and writing of grant applications and reports, and co-author scientific research manuscripts.
- Serves as a resource for collecting data and performing analysis. Contributes to facilitating and promoting a research project by providing scientific or intellectual information.
- Reviews laboratory protocols and training on new techniques. Manage complex data sets for research.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a PhD in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

- Strong publication record in scientific research.
- Research experience in the gastrointestinal or immune system.
- Research experience in genetic animal models.
