The college comprises two schools, five departments and two interdisciplinary graduate programs, as well as seven interdisciplinary areas of study and eight centers, institutes and offices.
The Opportunity:
The Administrative Assistant II position provides administrative assistance in the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) by working closely with the Dean, the Executive Associate Dean, and the Executive Assistant. This position is expected to remain knowledgeable on UCF/CAH policies, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, procedures, and systems (Cobblestone, Interfolio, Workday, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Performing administrative duties for the Executive Associate Dean that can include but is not limited to scheduling, managing meetings, memos, phone and mail correspondence.
Assist with Emeritus faculty application process by helping organize the digital packets. Accessibility services liaison supporting communications between CAH faculty and the accessibility services office. Assist with five-year chair reviews.
CAH Committee Elections associated with Scholarships and Awards that include - liaising with Faculty Excellence and Faculty Senate; scheduling meetings; creating and processing ballots; answering questions; etc.
Oversee contract processing in Cobblestone. This includes liaising with General Counsel and Procurement, answering questions, tracking requests, training college staff and assisting units' college wide as needed.
Management of CAH front desk - supervise and train OPS employees on front desk operations. Responsible for ordering office supplies and all golf cart maintenance.
Responsible for coordinating events such as CAH Staff Awards and CAH New Faculty Orientation.
This position can be the primary point of contact or liaison between many UCF offices: CAH Dean’s Office, General Counsel, Faculty Committees, Faculty Excellence, Faculty Senate, Emeritus Faculty, General Counsel, Procurement and the Accessibility Services Office, and will require exercising discretion with confidential documentation.
Support the Executive Assistant with file room operations and maintaining the college's digital archive, acting as back up as needed, and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Microsoft Suite-Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, and Adobe.
Experience with Cobblestone and/or Interfolio.
Experience with Workday.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Supervision experience.
Experience with adaptability and flexibility to working environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $17.64-$19.63. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
