The Director of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (DSCCR) oversees the management and adjudication of violations of the Student Code of Conduct. As the conduct system administrator, they are responsible for the development of the Community Standards process and manage the system that responds to violations of the code. This position will address behavioral concerns and coordinate student intervention initiatives, while promoting the high ethical and behavioral standards of the college. The DSCCR is supervised by the Associate Dean of Students and serves as a member of the Student Affairs leadership team.
40 % of Time: Student Conduct Administration
● Oversees the management and adjudication of all student conduct matters, serving as
the primary college conduct officer.
● Provide leadership and primary operational oversight in managing and administering
conflict resolution resources and services, including evaluating incidents and guiding
resolution strategies.
● Ensures a timely and coordinated response to reported incidents, including the
investigation and resolution of all alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct.
● Oversee Student Conduct Hearing Officers on all issues related to community standards
and conduct – assigning cases to hearing officers as appropriate.
● Oversees the maintenance of a student conduct database and tracks trends in students’
disciplinary infractions to provide accurate records and comply with government
statistical reporting requirements.
● Conducts monthly assessments and develops statistics and trend reports for appropriate
individuals, departments, and agencies regarding conduct cases, outcomes, and overall
community standards.
● Responds to off-campus disruptions reported by local authorities and any on-campus
and classroom disruptions reported by students, faculty, and staff.
● Develop a relationship and connection with Academic Affairs to collaborate on
academic-related student conduct matters.
● Oversee the regular review, update, and publishing of the Student Handbook as it
pertains to the conduct process and Student Code of Conduct.
30 % of Time: Education and Outreach
● Coordinates educational programs and presentations for various groups on campus to
increase knowledge of the Student Conduct Code and the conduct review process.
● Oversees a comprehensive educational sanctioning and tracking process that ensures
students are provided a corrective and educational response to violations of the
handbook and that those interventions meet established goals.
● Develop a positive relationship with law enforcement agencies including Endicott Police
& Public Safety and Beverly Police. Conduct beginning of year good neighbor visits to all
off-campus Beverly residents.
● Develops and presents appropriate education programs, including the management of
the Pro-Social Gull program, and activities for the campus community; provides crisis
support, case management, information and referral regarding student concerns.
30 % of Time: Administrative Responsibilities
● Create, organize and manage a calendar which will coordinate compliance efforts for the
Division in order to produce publication of data or reports for state and federal.
requirements including Clery, AOD Biennial report, etc.
● Serves on the administrative on-call rotation, providing support for live-on Residence Life
staff.
● Serve as a member of the Student Affairs CARE Team.
● Serves on organizational, departmental, and campus committees as needed and
required; serves as liaison between students and college personnel in a fair and
impartial manner regarding student rights and responsibilities.
● In collaboration with campus partners, coordinates the appropriate creation, review and
trainings related to Student Life Emergency Protocols and Student Conduct Processes
● Assist and support major Student Affairs and large-scale events such as Orientation,
Move-In and Commencement.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
● Possess academic credentials and experience suitable to fulfill the duties and
responsibilities of the position with a Master’s degree in a related field, required.
● A minimum of 6 - 8 years’ experience as a hearing officer with broad skills as an educator
within a higher education context.
● Knowledge of higher education principles, practices and procedures and best practices in
student affairs.
● Experience in managing and deescalating crisis situations.
● Expertise in training and Alcohol, other Drug education is desirable. A broad knowledge of
student development theory, issues, and trends in the field
● Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
