In this key leadership role, you will guide the College’s admissions strategy and recruitment efforts, helping to shape the future of IRSC by connecting students to life-changing educational opportunities.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for leading and managing the college’s admissions operations to support institutional enrollment goals and increase college participation within the community. Provides strategic direction and oversight for all admissions and recruitment initiatives, ensuring alignment with the college’s mission and objectives. Collaborates closely with internal departments, local K-12 schools, community organizations, and industry partners to promote access and strengthen pathways to higher education. Foster effective partnerships both within and outside the institution.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategic recruitment and admissions campaigns in coordination with the Marketing and Communications team to promote the college’s programs and increase community engagement. (20%)
- Oversee the end-to-end admissions process, including inquiry, application review, and student enrollment, ensuring a smooth, student-centered experience. Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track and optimize applicant engagement. (20%)
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the admissions and recruitment team, fostering a high-performing, goal-driven environment. Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluation to ensure team success in meeting enrollment goals. (15%)
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, local schools, and industry partners across the service district to strengthen recruitment pipelines and ensure a positive return on investment (ROI) for recruitment initiatives. (10%)
- Support and promote Dual Enrollment and Career Pathways programs, including collaboration on articulation agreements and industry certification initiatives with K–12 partners. (10%)
- Lead the coordination and execution of student engagement events, including new student orientation, recruitment fairs, and on/off-campus enrollment activities. (10%)
- Prepare, analyze, and present data-driven reports on enrollment trends, student outcomes, and recruitment effectiveness. Assist in managing the departmental budget and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities. (10%)
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. (5%)
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related area; (Master’s degree preferred) with eight (8) years prior admission and recruitment leadership experience in a higher education setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Proven experience in recruitment for college admissions, showing enrollment growth including CRM management (i.e. Element 451, Slate, CRM Recruit)
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing accelerated mechanisms, dual enrollment, and articulation agreements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with admissions data analysis, and new student success strategies
- Ability to interact effectively with external organizations and foster relationships that enhance student success.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally more than twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
