Job DescriptionThe Assistant Director, Academic & Student Services is a pivotal role within the Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College. This position serves as the subject matter expert in Student Records Management, ensuring the accurate maintenance, management, and confidentiality of student records in alignment with institutional policies. Acting as a central liaison among the Registrar, Student Services, and Woods College, the Assistant Director leads the graduation review process, collaborates with the Woods Administration & Operations team to identify potential graduates each semester, and supports academic advisors throughout this critical process.
In addition to managing student records, the Assistant Director is responsible for creating and implementing degree audit rules in uAchieve, overseeing the routine processing of record changes, and partnering with the Admissions Team to establish transfer protocols. This role involves maintaining the Master Course List and managing course planning and scheduling to optimize course availability. As the lead technical contact for Eagle Apps, the Assistant Director provides guidance on registration processes and educational technology training, actively implementing updates to enhance the student registration experience and academic administration.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $59,400 to $74,250; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Three to five years of professional work experience is required. Experience managing multiple projects/tasks to a high quality of completion. Must be comfortable working under strict deadlines and interfacing with various stakeholders in a variety of situations. Familiarity with higher education organizational structures, academic policies, and student information systems/registration systems preferred.
Woods College’s general operating hours are from 9 am-5 pm daily. However, there will be times periodically throughout the year when extended hours are needed to meet deadlines and support programming/events.
