Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with Agile team members and assist in developing web applications and web services using Java, SOAP, REST, XML, HTTP, and other web technologies.
- Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in high-pressure environments; excelling at pinpointing and resolving problems in early project stages to avoid cost/time expenses.
- Deliver high-quality projects on time, through the ability to design architecture, write high-quality code, and execute practical unit test.
- Assist in the integration of third-party products with existing infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work equally well in self-managed and team-based Agile projects.
- Work with internal customers to gather business processes and project requirements.
- Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development/applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Seek guidance and collaborate on software requirements to determine the feasibility of the design within time and cost constraints.
- Develops software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Performs miscellaneous projects as assigned, assisting senior engineers as needed.
- Aggressively seek new knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to software engineering.
- Present a final project or summary of learning to the team at the end of the internship.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and office productivity tools (e.g., Excel formulas, Google Forms, SharePoint)
Working knowledge of Agile, specifically Scrum methodologies
Familiarity with help desks, ticketing systems, or cloud-based tools is a plus
Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and organizational skills
Comfortable learning and using new systems and applications
Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and asking for help when needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data security protocols
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
Experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship during the internship period.
- Must be in good academic standing with an expected graduation date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in higher education and lifelong learning
- Technical certifications are a plus
