Perform everyday campus store operations on the Rocky Mount campus; maintain internal controls over this site’s cash and inventories; and provide quality and courteous service to students and employees. This is a permanent part-time position. Hours will be 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday – Friday, subject to change during summer. Additional hours will be required during peak registration.
Essential Job Functions
Perform duties as cashier which include handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with the customers.
Responsible for counting cash drawers at the beginning & ending of day to ensure accurate balancing.
Prepare daily cash analysis form along with deposit to be sent to the Cashier for validation and inclusion in college’s receipts and deposits.
Receive, inventory, shelve and sell textbooks and campus store items.
Maintain a clean & orderly store.
Assist faculty and staff with departmental purchases.
Assist manager with annual inventory for the Rocky Mount Campus Store.
Responsible for the efficient maintenance of textbook inventories for the Edge Academy Early College, and other special programs.
Serve as a point of contact for students with inquires and/or in need of troubleshooting service with the online textbook provider, as needed.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma with at least three years of work experience using an electronic cash register and providing customer service.
PREFERRED
Associate degree in Applied Science Degree in a business-related field; 5+ years of work experience using an electronic cash register and providing customer service.
