Teaching Assistant, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy
The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) invites applications for four Teaching Assistant (TA) positions for the 2025-26 fall session.
The general duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant positions will include:
- Assisting with grading work;
- Helping to maintain the class and/or online discussion forums (as applicable);
- Providing tutorials on economics and/or briefing note writing to students (as applicable);
- Conferring with and taking direction from the instructor; and
- Providing assistance with other course matters as assigned.
These positions will work on campus. The TAs will report formally to the JSGS Director of Administration, and their work will directed and supervised by the respective course instructor.
Required Number of Hours: Total of 120 hours over the fall 2025 term (each position)

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
- The candidates for JSGS 805 and JSGS 838 must have a background in economics, as well as experience writing and assessing briefing notes.
- The candidates for JSGS 801 and JSGS 806 require experience with public policy analysis and a strong understanding of Canadian governance
- For all positions, a master’s degree in economics, political science, public administration, public policy, or equivalent is required. Experience as a TA would be an asset. The incumbents must be registered in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan and be in good standing with the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies; priority will be given to students enrolled in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.
