Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving and Storeroom Administrator to join our dynamic team within Life Sciences Administration (LSA). If you excel at multitasking and thrive in a supportive role, we want to hear from you! In this pivotal position, you'll be overseeing a variety of essential tasks with precision and care while providing excellent customer service. From storeroom operations and loading dock receiving to managing key distribution and handling mail, your contributions will be vital to the seamless operation of our departments and research labs. Some other duties include assisting with checking and delivering orders and maintaining our mail and copy rooms.

Qualifications Understanding of University policies and experience with UCLA systems such as BruinBuy+, PAC, or similar. (Preferred) Experience in performing under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions of the storeroom's daily operations. (Required) Experience in the maintenance of departmental Copy and Fax machines. (Preferred) Interpersonal skills to maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships with faculty, students, and other administrators. (Required)Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar. Ability to communicate effectively. (Required)Ability to function as a team member or act independently as required by the circumstances. Skill in working independently and following through on tasks with minimal supervision. (Required)Ability to interact with a variety of professionals and salespersons in order to make Department needs known and to follow through to completion of action. (Required)Demonstrated skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect varying levels of importance of multiple work assignments. (Required)Skill in writing clear, concise, logical and grammatically correct business correspondence. (Required)Basic mathematical skills for computations to calculate charges and percentages. (Required)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and other related PC software. (Preferred)Ability to analyze, evaluate, and manage working inventories for a diverse research environment. (Required)Knowledge of audio-visual equipment instructional use sufficient to advise and train faculty and TA's. (Preferred)Ability to assess situations and problems, identify solutions and refer to supervisor as necessary. (Required)Ability to lift and move items of a minimal weight of 50 pounds. (Required)
