Misselwood Events is seeking a personable, professional, skilled bartender to join our team for weddings and social events. The ideal candidate will help create memorable experiences for all guests at every event and provide exceptional hospitality on par with the Misselwood brand.
Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare the bar area before each event, ensuring all supplies, equipment and beverages are stocked and ready
Mix and serve beer, wine and cocktails responsibly and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized station throughout each event
Restock glassware, beverages and supplies as needed
Monitor consumption to be sure guests are drinking responsibly
Track and record beverage inventory
Manage cash and credit card transactions via iPads for occasional cash bars
Break down, clean and restock the bar area after each event
Communicate any problems to the event manager on duty
Provide excellent customer service by being attentive and approachable to all guests
Requirements:
Ability to work weekend and evening shifts
Minimum of 1 year bartending experience with basic knowledge of drink recipes and techniques
Up to date TIPS or ServeSafe certification
Ability to lift 35+ lbs. and stand for long periods
Be punctual and a willing team player
18 years or older
Seasonal position runs from May to October
Hourly rate plus gratuities
The Bartender Needs To
Serve all guests/clients at Misselwood with the highest level of respect and hospitality
Mix and prepare drinks for guests and serve them in a responsible manner
Accurately check IDs and prevent guests from being over served
Operate a cash register, credit card machine and accurately calculate money
Setup and bartend in different settings/locations (inside and outside)
Work late hours, including weekends and holidays
Work as a team player
Accomplish any other duties as assigned by manager
Show up on time for scheduled shift dressed appropriately
Qualifications
Be a punctual individual with strong attention to detail
Must be certified to handle alcohol (ServeSafe or TIPS)
Outgoing individual, who is able to demonstrate excellent customer service
Able to lift 35 lbs. and stand on your feet for several hours
Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, to include beer, wine and liquor
