The Executive Director of the Healthcare Innovation Center (HIC) plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the Center’s strategic vision, ensuring that its programs, initiatives, and partnerships advance the field of healthcare innovation. This individual will work closely with the Faculty Director and key stakeholders to establish and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the institution's goals and meets the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the development of innovative curricula, workshops, and events, while positioning the Center as a leader in healthcare innovation education and research.
The Executive Director will also focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with industry leaders, academic partners, and other key stakeholders, facilitating collaborations and securing opportunities for students, faculty, and professionals to engage with thought leaders in the field. Additionally, the Executive Director will drive fundraising efforts, securing major gifts, sponsorships, and other resources to support the Center's activities.
This role involves financial oversight, including managing the Center’s budget, staffing, and resource allocation, ensuring effective use of resources to support ongoing initiatives. The Executive Director will also work to expand the Center’s visibility and brand awareness, both on campus and within the broader healthcare community, through speaking engagements, media participation, and strategic marketing efforts. Salary & Compensation*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Visit

Qualifications MBA level industry experience. (Required)
Considerable work experience in an organization where people with MBAs are prevalent and the skill sets developed in an MBA Program are commonplace. (Required)
Strong understanding of MBA curricula, the particular skill sets developed in an MBA Program, and how they match to MBA- related careers. (Required)
Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to be flexible and work as part of a close team. (Required)
Interpersonal skills to successfully identify, recruit and train MBA students to serve as volunteers to coach classmates regarding broad and specific career development efforts. (Required)
