Job Summary/Basic Functions
An EKU Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the Information Technology department and university stakeholders to analyze business needs, develop solutions, and support data-driven decision-making processes. This role ensures that the university's information systems align with business goals and facilitates efficient and productive business practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Certification or graduation from a four year college or university.
Experience: Two years of experience working in a technical field.

- 40% - Business Requirements Analysis and Documentation Collaborate with university stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications for system enhancements and new developments. Develop and maintain detailed business process models and workflows. Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. - (Essential)
- 35% - Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes and provide insights into business operations. Develop, generate, and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to university departments. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data used for reporting and analysis. Utilize data visualization tools to present data in a user-friendly manner ad or team member for projects as requested by the Executive Director. - (Essential)
- 25% - Systems Implementation and Support Work with IT teams to implement new systems and enhancements to existing systems based on business requirements. Provide support and training to end-users to ensure effective use of systems and data. Develop and maintain documentation for system processes, user guides, and training materials. Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues - (Essential)
