The Opportunity:
UCF Student Success and Well-Being seeks an experienced HR generalist to join their HR Business Center as a Human Resources Partner III. The HR Partner III is responsible for training, communicating, and executing human resources strategy, policy, and programs for the division. The Partner III will supervise HR Coordinators within the HRBC and provide guidance on HR matters to leaders and employees throughout SSWB.
We are looking for a versatile and proactive HR generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate is adaptable, flexible, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on approach to support a wide range of HR functions, contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and guide the day-to-day operations and supervision of 4-5 HR Coordinators in the HR Business Center to ensure a high-level of customer service to the division. Support the HR Director and collaborate with HR units across campus, including the HR COEs and other HR Business Centers.
Maintain an open channel of communication with the HR Director to ensure adequate supervision, coaching, and support for HR Coordinators and the overall success of the HR Business Center.
Collaborate with department leaders to understand and address their HR needs and priorities. Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, fostering trust and transparency.
Advise department leaders on HR policies, procedures, and workforce strategies, ensuring all HR processes comply with university policies, federal and state laws, and division-specific guidelines.
Assist supervisors/hiring officials and oversee HRBC Coordinators with hiring procedures for all employee types (staff, faculty, student, adjunct, graduate assistant, post-doctoral, temporary) for national/local recruitment efforts.
Conduct initial reviews and analyses of HR-related requests, such as compensation preliminary analysis, job reclassifications, and organizational changes.
Assist with addressing employee relations matters and any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
Approve and oversee HR transactions in Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with university policies and procedures. Provide guidance to the HR Coordinators on processing hires, terminations, job changes, and other Workday actions.
Utilize Workday reports and other tools to ensure division compliance with university standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years progressive HR experience, including generalist duties.
2+ years’ experience supervising HR professionals, including performance management accountability, hybrid work, and developing professional staff.
Demonstrated experience managing compensation, employee relations issues, hiring practices, payroll practices, or benefits/leave, with sound judgment.
Strong background using Workday or similar HRIS platforms in a high-volume setting.
Experience working in HR in education, higher education, or the public sector.
HR certification preferred.
