Instructor - Dental Assisting
In support of the College of Dentistry, Dental Assisting program and other programs in the College, we are seeking applications for an instructor position (0.7 FTE). Applicants who have previous teaching and mentoring experience in Dental assisting programs will be considered an asset.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. Applicants must be adept to working in a clinical teaching setting with shifting priorities. The work can be complex in nature and work volume will fluctuate with peak periods that will require additional effort. Candidates must have a proven track record of effectively working in a team environment, have a pleasant disposition and proven ability to foster and maintain collegial relations. The successful candidates will be required to exercise sound judgment, independent decision-making, discretion, and sensitivity as these positions are privy to and work with sensitive and confidential information. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office are required.
The salary range for Instructor is $74,789 - $117,629. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan, pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long-term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
