Job Summary
The Senior Associate Director of the A.M. Program in Social Work, Policy, and Administration, works closely with the Director on overall program coordination for the A.M program, accreditation, and the field education readiness and skill-based learning opportunities for students. Working in collaboration with the Director, faculty, and field education team, a major component the Sr. Associate Director’s role is to oversee the development and implementation of field readiness education for the first-year core curriculum. The Sr. Associate Director will also have responsibility for coordination of courses for the part-time master’s program in social work, social policy, and social administration, coordination of supplemental learning programs, and will assist with gathering data and reporting needed for program accreditation.
Specific job responsibilities are outlined below.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement the field education readiness component of the first-year core curriculum, including component parts delivered as part of student orientation.
Coordinate meetings with key stakeholders to design training modules.
Hire, train, and supervision of field readiness instructors.
Oversee the evaluation of the field readiness program effect on student learning.
Coordinate courses for part-time students, as well as the scheduling needs of students in certificate and dual-degree programs.
Work closely with the Director, the Deputy Dean for Curriculum and Dean of Students’ Offices to review the alignment of curricular needs for students who are not in the full-time program.
Develop and support supplemental learning programs to create on-going professional development opportunities for students to engage with current trends and across the many fields where social workers are represented.
Work closely with the Director and Deputy Dean for Curriculum on all tasks associated with CSWE accreditation. This includes collection of learning assessment data and reporting needed for accreditation preparation and compliance.
Teach up to two elective courses in field of practice
Uses knowledge of the divisional vision and values to assess, evaluate, and recommends opportunities for collaboration with partners.
Supports broader student initiatives.
Coordinates program initiatives, ensuring unity of focus and purpose.
Performs other related work as needed.

Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Hybrid work schedule, on-site at the Hyde Park campus in Chicago.
