The Opportunity
The University of Central Florida (UCF) School of Performing Arts is seeking a 9-month, visiting renewable, non-tenure earning assistant professor in the Theatre Department with a specialty in Theatre for Young Audiences with an anticipated start date in August 2025. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Running the Gould Traveling Theatre and teaching one class associated with that, plus four additional classes annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Theatre or related field from an accredited institution.
One year teaching experience in a university setting, graduate assistantships are acceptable to fulfill this requirement.
Experience in Theatre for Young Audiences field
Preferred Qualifications:
MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences or related field from an accredited institution.
Three years of college teaching experience or professional theatre experience with teaching components.

Experience with applied theatre, including:
Intergenerational experiences
Experience creating theatre with vulnerable populations
Experience with devised theatre
