$88,084.93 - $139,899.08
Position Summary:
Hiring Salary Range: $88,085.00 to $96,893.50 depending on qualifications.
Assists the Dean in overseeing the operations of technical academic programs at the Dale Mabry Campus, including Business Administration, Computer Science, Culinary and Hospitality Management, Accounting, Architecture, and Electronics Engineering Technology. This position will ensure effective delivery and management of the programs. Responsible for academic program activities including developing new programs and coordinating projects, managing course schedules, and supporting students. Responsible for the development and management of operating budgets. Supervises faculty and staff.
Job Duties:
- Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
- Develops, administers, and monitors departmental operating budgets.
- Monitor students feedback surveys, classroom performance, and appropriate instructional standards for instructors.
- Prepares performance evaluations for faculty.
- Assists faculty and the development of course and program curriculum, program and course reviews and articulation activities.
- Acknowledge, research, and respond to student complaints and academic appeals.
- Provides leadership in the development and maintenance of strategic goals and objectives for the unit being supervised.
- Leads the development of grant proposals and supports the successful fulfillment of grant deliverables
- Creates and maintains safe and engaging laboratory learning environments.
- Chairs a college-wide committee and coordinates committee events as needed.
- Attend community meetings for professional associations, business groups, and civic clubs to promote college initiatives and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
The position requires a master’s degree and at least five years of prior-related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a field related to area of responsibility, and work experience in post-secondary education, including supervising faculty, chairing programs, and teaching.
