Maintains safe and secure environment for students, customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; uses college keys to open and close buildings.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Prepares routine, standardized reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Provides escort services for visitors, students, staff, and faculty, as necessary.
- Patrols and monitors assigned parking areas and/or parking garages to provide public security and assistance.
- Serves as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
- Acts as a first responder to any campus emergency.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- This Position reports directly to the Public Safety Campus Lead.

High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED)
Must be adept at resolving individual and group conflicts, and must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must possess excellent organizational, planning, evaluation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues both in and outside of the organization.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
