Department SummaryThe UCLA Academy of Workforce Excellence is under a Title IV-E training contract with UCLA and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The UCLA Academy of Workforce is a collaboration of seven universities (UCLA, USC, CSULB, CSULA, CSUN, CSUDH, and APU). The UCLA Academy of Workforce/DCFS University Training Center provides training to all levels of Department of Children and Family Services staff. LADCFS + UCLA Academy of Workforce Excellence provide administrative, programmatic, virtual and in person training support for LA County Children Social Workers and staff in various levels in delivering foundation academies and other professional development trainings; comprehensively plan and execute meetings, trainings, and conferences of varying sizes and scopes: Schedule and facilitate all in-service training to Department of Children and Family Services staff and schedule all training sessions sponsored by UCLA Academy of Workforce.
Position SummaryThe University Academy of Workforce Excellence (AWE) is an agreement among UCLA, USC, CSULB, CSULA, CSUN, CSUDH, and APU to provide training for LA County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) employed social workers, field instruction for the graduate MSW students from the participating universities, and support for training, evaluation, and research in the area of child welfare services. The e-Learning Developer's (ELD) primary role is to serve as developer of e-Learning modules. The ELD will work with e-Learning staff, including instructional designers and content developers, as well as university faculty and staff members, government agency staff, curriculum specialist, trainers, field instructors in subject matters concerning social welfare and others as related to training needs. The ELD will develop e-Learning materials for adult learner child welfare workers, supervisors, managers, and others employed by Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services including collaborating agencies. ELD will guide the approval process, including obtaining feedback from evaluations, implementing revisions and drafting progress reports. The design of the online learning program will be based on a sound pedagogical foundation aimed to help adult students learn materials effectively. In addition, Child Welfare background preferred. Experience in e-Learning or multi-media development and web design and support is required.

Qualifications2 - 5 years Two to five years of experience in eLearning and/or multi-media development (Required)
High level of expertise in e-Learning curriculum development, in a university or corporate environment. (Required)
Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are all prerequisites. (Required)
Demonstrated skills in image manipulation, graphic design, audio and video production and post-production, animation/motion graphics, illustration, software scripting and/or programming (Required)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Articulate e-Learning Software (Articulate Storyline), Moodle, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop and Flash, Acrobat Pro Microsoft Office, and Learning Management System integration (Moodle/TalentWorks) (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal AffiliationsBachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training (Required)
