Student Financial Assistance is dedicated to supporting UCF's mission and goals through the efficient delivery of student aid. The Office provides UCF students with a comprehensive offering of financial assistance options to support student success and the attainment of a university degree.
The Opportunity:
The UCF Student Success and Well Being Student Financial Assistance department is currently accepting applications for a Business Data Analyst II. This role supports the Office of Student Financial Assistance's IT Business needs. This position is responsible for the overall administration of packaging financial aid awards and maintaining financial aid award packages in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies. This position is also responsible for managing and supplying data request submitted from external entities. The person who occupies this position is responsible for reviewing end users needs and granting the appropriate security access within the Student Information System.
Responsibilities:
Writes packaging equations and packaging plans in Peoplesoft to facilitate mass packaging and repackaging of federal, state, and institutional financial aid award programs.
Designs and runs queries to ensure compliance of financial aid policies.
Seeks innovative methods of extracting information from the Student Information System to uncover potential problems in compliance and anticipates and circumvents future problems.
Establishes and documents packaging routines to ensure accuracy of financial aid award packages and compliance with all regulations and policies.
Runs processes to package and repackage awards on a regular cadence.
Schedules and monitors processes used to collect academic activity.
Keeps abreast of regulatory changes for financial aid as well as technical updates to the Student Information System.
Integrates technical use of SIS with the functional understanding of financial aid.
Maintains a variety of routine financial aid data statistics to assist with common inquiries and public information.
Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
