The Department of History in the College of Arts and Science and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for an Out-of-Scope Sessional Lecturer to teach the followingcommunity-based courses during the following session(s):

Course Number, Section, and Name: HIST 193.3 (E59) History Matters Topics in Canadian History
Term and Course Dates: Term 1 (September 1 to December 31, 2025)

Delivery Mode: This course will be offered as a Lecture (Live in-person on Mistawasis Nehiyawak First Nation).
Course Schedule: Actual days/times to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant at the discretion of program. Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; no evenings or weekends without special permission.
Expected Enrollment Limit: 35
Location: Mistawasis Nehiyawak First Nation (approx. 1.5hrs N of Saskatoon, SK)
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in History or related discipline and and/or possession of relevant teaching or professional experience. Applicants must possess knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture as well as the socio-economic and pedagogical factors associated with teaching this body of students.
A valid driver’s license is required for any off campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days in recognition of preparation and marking time required. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
