Position Summary:
Hiring Salary Range: $88,084.93 to $96,893.50 depending on qualifications.
Collaborates with academic program/degree faculty, Deans, Department Chairs, and Division Chairs to plan budget, develop policy, and shape strategic direction for distance learning at the college. Works with campus administration, Division Chairs, and Department Chairs to develop college-wide Distance Learning schedules to ensure effective use of resources and strategic enrollment management. Collaborates with Student Services to ensure appropriate student support systems are in place to include admissions, advising, career counseling, financial aid, and testing. Develops and implements policies and procedures that ensure maximum accessibility in all aspects of online instruction. Assists CITI and PDWS in defining and delivering training and professional development opportunities related to distance learning and hybrid courses. Supports campus and district leadership to promote existing courses/programs, determine collegewide needs for new distance learning courses and programs, and forecast future distance learning needs. Represents the college at national and State levels to keep the leadership updated, and the College in compliance with SACS, state and federal regulations related to Distance Learning (e.g. State authorization, the Higher Learning Commission requirements, and other relevant regulations). Supports campus administration by working across multiple departments to resolve student complaints related to Distance Learning. Directs staff to include prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, and operational efficiency. Maintains effective communication with administration, faculty, and staff.
Job Duties:

Required Qualifications:
The position requires at least a master’s degree and at least five to seven years of prior-related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three to five years of full-time college teaching experience; online course development and instructional design experience; higher education working in a multi-campus environment; and knowledge of federal and state laws and rules related to online education. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of community college students and employees.
