Position Summary:
The Research Assistant (RA) will plan, carry out, and lead high quality research related to HIV, mpox, and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI). In addition, the RA will support a collaborative portfolio of research projects in epidemiology, measurements and surveillance, and mathematical modeling. These activities include preparation and editing of reports, presentations, abstracts, and articles for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Additional tasks may be added.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in epidemiology or equivalent discipline.
- Substantive knowledge in infectious diseases epidemiology.
- Strong statistical background, including knowledge of Bayesian statistics and mathematical modeling techniques.
- Ability to code complex analyses in R, including data visualizations.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
