Academic coaches provide professional, student-centered coaching for individuals seeking a collaborative, consistent, and supportive partnership focused on academic growth and development. Through regular engagement, coaches empower students to develop academic self-awareness; build confidence, resilience, and perseverance; strengthen time management and organizational strategies; and improve communication skills with both peers and professionals. Coaches also guide students in identifying and utilizing appropriate resources to support their success.
In addition to direct coaching, academic coaches are responsible for maintaining accurate records, achieving and maintaining certification as academic coaches, and participating in ongoing training and professional development.
