South College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty Member for English/Communications at the Orlando Campus. Under the direction of the Department Chair/Dean of General Education, the Adjunct English Instructor will provide instruction for General Education English courses on-ground at the Orlando Campus including (but not limited to): English Composition, English Composition with Research, and/or Effective Speaking on a quarter-by-quarter appointment. Instructors are required to evaluate students’ progress, communicate with Faculty Leads for subject matter questions, and return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College Expectations.
Requirements
- A minimum of an acceptable master’s degree in English (doctorate preferred) or an earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in English; and
- Experience teaching English in the higher education setting. (Experience in ground and online instruction preferred).
