Job Summary
The Associate Director, Digital Engagement, Communications emphasizes digital strategy, email marketing, and web communications designed to increase awareness of Chicago Booth as a global business school and deepen engagement with core constituents, particularly alumni, donors, and volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Manages planning and execution of email marketing initiatives targeting alumni, including segmentation strategies, testing, and performance optimization, in alignment with institutional engagement and fundraising goals.
- Oversees content and graphic development for the alumni website, ensuring timely, relevant, and engaging information that supports both alumni needs and Advancement priorities. Contributes to the strategic integration of fundraising campaign into website and broader digital strategy, and regularly evaluates user experience and implements enhancements to drive engagement.
- Leads improvements in Marketo training documentation and process. Oversees training and Marketo access for advancement staff.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and implement integrated digital campaigns that align with broader Advancement goals, including cross-channel strategies where appropriate.
- Analyzes performance of email and web campaigns through regular reporting, using insights to improve effectiveness and guide decision-making.
- Partners with Booth Marketing to ensure digital communications align with the School’s brand, voice, and strategic priorities.
- Represents the Advancement department in cross-functional digital strategy meetings and planning groups, advocating for strong digital practices that enhance alumni engagement and fundraising.
- Develops, plans, and disseminates information designed to keep the public informed of the organization's programs, accomplishments, or point of view.
- Solves moderate to complex problems related to the writing, preparation, and/or delivery of information from or about the unit.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
