Position Summary
The position is responsible for providing clinical assistance and supervision of clinical operations staff in an effective and efficient manner to ensure quality care is provided and department clinical expectations are met for the Neuroscience Center (CAM).
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Aligns with the Department of Neurology’s Mission, Vision, and Service Culture by demonstrating a high commitment to service excellence, professionalism, and quality through all interactions with faculty, staff, referring physicians, patients and their families.
- Leads by example and provides assistance/coverage in all areas of the clinical setting to ensure safe/efficient care and everyday service excellence for the patients, families, providers and provider teams.
- In conjunction with the Practice Office Manager, supports teams in developing, implementing, and maintaining training, and safe/efficient procedures.
- Manages the continuous evaluation of employee performance for each area of responsibility. Addresses & resolves personnel issues. Maintains job descriptions and conducts annual performance evaluations. Responsible for hiring employees & orienting new staff. Organizes educational opportunities, regular staff meetings and in-services.
- Monitors employee absences (i.e., illnesses) as well as receives and approves vacation requests. Determines appropriate clinical coverage/ employee shift changes
- Assists with development, quality improvements, service excellence initiatives, and team building. Assists with the development and implementation of annual operational objectives and performance targets for clinical performance indicators.
- Maintains required skills, competencies, compliances, and participates in educational programs, staff meetings, and in services such as CPR, as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, plus a minimum of 2 years of related nursing experience.
- Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.)

Salary Range
$71,300.00 - $128,400.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
