Job DescriptionTemporary Career Services Assistant
The Boston College Law School is seeking a temporary employee to serve as an Assistant in our busy Career Services Office, from approximately mid-July through October, 2025. The position provides customer service/reception for all 700+ law students, alumni, employers and recruiters, faculty, law school administration & staff, other law school personnel, guests of the law school for career services panels, etc.
Essential functions include:
- Handling administrative office functions relating to databases, weekly newsletter, documents, physical space and processing.
- Provide administrative support such as fielding in-person and email questions, providing secretarial support, and scheduling appointments/meetings.
- Support the other members of the CSO team with planning and executing in- person networking and educational events, during the daytime hours.
This position is fully in-person and offers competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires approximately 29 hours per week to be worked within that timeframe. Specific hours will be determined based on the selected candidate’s availability.

Requirements- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong data entry and database management required.
- Knowledge of Canva and/or interest in social media design a plus but not required.
- Administrative assistant work experience in a professional setting.
- Willingness to learn and serve as an active team member.
- Interest in learning about the legal field and/or law school a plus.
