Position Summary:
Hiring Salary Range: $13.00 to $14.49 depending on qualifications.
To lead and assist in all Clinical Liaison Office responsibilities including, but not limited to, review and processing of students’ and faculties’ confidential health information, organizing clinical documents & contracts, and data entry and collection of student requirements in the Health Sciences Department.
Job Duties:
- Provides advanced secretarial and administrative support to the clinical liaison office.
- Supports the clinical liaison office with the facilitation of clinical placements for programs within the Health Sciences department.
- Responsible for the gathering and management of all students’ medical clearance requirements.
- Assists with student clinical clearance for the Health Science Department.
- Maintain student clinical requirement records.
- Produce progress reports for the Clinical Liaison office.
- Assist with the development of compliance protocols for Clinical Liaison.
- Participates in quarterly hospital meetings with clinical educators in the Health Science Department.
- Analyzes confidential student health documentation (i.e., immunizations, screenings, background checks, etc.).
- Answers student and faculty questions and concerns via email, telephone, and in-person.
- Reports to various Program Managers concerning clinical clearance status for students.
- Prepares and sends emails regarding student requirements for each Health Science Program.
- Creates and performs daily edits of student rosters for all Health Science Programs.
- Reviews manuals, policies, and procedures for current student and faculty clinical requirements.
- Presents office requirements and information at various Health Science orientations.
- Create documentation with current office information (i.e., office hours, office closures, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Knowledge acquired through work experience, 1 to up to 3 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of education beyond high school in college or technical school. Preference for applicants to have an Associates + minimum two years; or HS Diploma and additional years of experience because the position requires the ability to function somewhat independently with detail-oriented procedures and an understanding of CDC guidelines for clinical health requirements. This position involves the review and processing of confidential information that requires training on HIPAA and FERPA to work with sensitive information, including drug screens, background checks, and private health information.
