Job DescriptionAssistant Coach – Women’s Softball
Reporting to the head women’s softball coach, the assistant women’s
softball coach will help provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of a
competitive program. This includes;
-Strong ability to assist in providing overall leadership of the women’s softball program
-Proven recruiter and evaluator at Division I, II or III level
-Ability to foster a strong and positive culture within the program
-Maintain high level of academics
-Assist with the management of coaching, team practices, competitions, road travel, scheduling, workouts, academics, and life-skills
-Assist in managing the program budget and team travel
-Ensure compliance with all department policies and guidelines
-Comply with all applicable Boston College, ACC, and NCAA rules, guidelines, and policies
-Represent themselves in a manner consistent with positive representation of Boston College
-Opportunity within University guidelines to assist in the management, hosting, and executing softball camps and clinics at Boston College

-A Bachelor's Degree is required
-Proven softball coaching experience
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
-Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni
-Proficient computer skills

-Two plus years successful coaching experience preferably at a collegiate level or club level
