Position Description
The Ingram School of Nursing of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University, is seeking applications for a full-time Academic Associate position with expertise in community nursing. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be joining the School at a stimulating time of growth and energy with a recently enlarged number of education and research-focused faculty, major curricular revisions, and a physical space with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities. Travel within the province of Quebec (including remote areas) may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
Under the Direction of the Director of the Clinical Partnership Office (CPO), the successful candidate will be expected to fulfill the following duties:
- Assume responsibility for the student course assignment of all undergraduate and graduate level community clinical courses in collaboration with respective Program Directors and Course Coordinators;
- Assume responsibility for the recruitment of new Community clinical placements within Quebec (including CBOs) as well as support recruitment of placements for clinical placements within vulnerable populations in remote regions nationally and internationally (Ambassador program);
- Develop partnerships with various stakeholders, including Community-Based organizations and indigenous health organizations that align with the ISON strategic objectives;
- Oversee the operations of the CNCN clinics;
- Ensure best practices in clinical education for community clinical courses;
- Collaborate with the Director of the Clinical Partnership Office and members of the CPO team on various mandates;
- Engage with various external partners/organizations in discussions related to the development of excellence in clinical education.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum requirements for consideration are:
- Masters’ degree in Nursing with an active membership with the OIIQ;
- Community Care nursing experience; working with vulnerable remote populations, indigenous community health and global health preferred;
- Experience related to clinical education;
- Clinical placements recruitment experience preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written English and strong verbal and written French
- A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusiveness is expected
