About the Role
As an Education Support Officer, you will work collaboratively as part of a supportive team to enhance the quality of course delivery and student experience. You will provide integrated advice and operational support to academic staff on all aspects of course and unit delivery and administration.
In this role, you will:
- Advise and support Course Directors, Discipline Chairs, Heads of School or Department, and Unit Convenors on course and unit delivery.
- Coordinate operational and administrative activities across the course lifecycle — from annual planning and study resources to assessments and results moderation.
- Organise and deliver course-specific orientation and onboarding activities, in collaboration with the Faculty Student Experience team.
- Provide administrative support for meetings, including industry advisory boards and coordinate the implementation of actions arising.
- Act as a key liaison for academic staff, guest lecturers, and sessional staff.
- Contribute to strategic course initiatives and continuous improvement of student administration processes.
- Support the resolution of complex student lifecycle enquiries in partnership with other University teams including Timetabling and Student Shared Services.
About You
You are a highly organised, service-focused professional with excellent time management skills and a passion for improving the student experience. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A degree or relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience providing advice and support in education delivery and/or complex student services.
- Strong knowledge of tertiary education policies, processes, and governance (desirable).
- Proven ability to develop annual planning documentation, project plans and provide data analysis.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with experience managing competing deadlines.
- A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
