Job Summary/Basic Functions
This position requires that the incumbent has gained expertise through the mastery of techniques and experience of the job requirements. The incumbent is required to have a working knowledge of all MEP professions or vocations necessary to maintain, including the inter-dependence of DDC building control systems and HVAC and lighting equipment. Guidelines ore available but may have gaps in specificity or may not be completely applicable; therefore, the incumbent is expected to use good judgment in the interpretation and adopting of these guidelines. The incumbent is expected to conduct independent analyses and make recommendations when necessary. Incumbent is responsible for the oversight of the safety program for MEP activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Kentucky Journeyman's HVAC License
EPA Refrigeration Certification
Experience: - Three years of previous and directly related experience required.
Licensure & Certifications: Kentucky Journeyman's HVAC License
EPA Refrigeration Certification

- 10% - Design and Construction- coordinates with University Engineering & Construction and planning & Design units, and senior leadership for renovation and new projects. Works closely with project angers in the development and review of project designs and specifications related to new or renovated capital improvement projects related to the unit. - (Essential)
- 5% - Personnel Function – enforces institutional policies; holds subordinates accountable for effectiveness and efficiency; screens job applicants; makes hiring recommendations; participates in administration of discipline. - (Essential)
