About the Role
The Business Analyst II participates in all phases of project scoping and implementation for specific departmental projects to be implemented within a short timeline. This role is responsible for gathering complex business requirements for large enterprise software solutions involving cross-functional clients. The BA II consults and collaborates with users and business stakeholders within VP Advancement and Alumni Engagement to analyze business needs and document business processes. The position facilitates the development of recommendations to streamline processes and develops functional specifications for software implementation, development and integration to optimize the use of information technology systems that help improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The BA II facilitates large business requirement and process description reviews involving complex task and workflow analyses; writes business processes and related functional specifications; plays a key role in re-engineering business practices; facilitates, coordinates, and monitors the automation of business processes; conducts or oversees the development and outcome analyses of test scenarios; and proposes business cases to change the system and/or processes.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with five years of related experience, including experience in business analysis, working with enterprise level applications in a large, complex, technically focused environment, or an equivalent combination of experience, certification and education.
- Must have experience overseeing project implementations and providing direction to team members of the project.
- Must have experience implementing projects within short timelines.
- Excellent knowledge of functional analysis, quality assurance, and change management best practices.
- Good knowledge of facilitating business process re-engineering and improvement.
- Good knowledge of the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
