Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Athletics Facilities & Operations Lead plays a critical role in supporting and executing the day-to-day functions of athletic facility operations and game/event management. This part-time role is structured to prepare individuals to take full ownership of game operations for select sports (e.g., soccer, softball, baseball, golf, and beach volleyball) after a structured onboarding and training period. Leads work alongside full-time staff and serve as the primary point of contact for designated events or venues.
Facility Operations:
• Oversee the daily readiness and upkeep of assigned athletic facilities
• Coordinate scheduling, equipment staging, and vendor access
• Identify and report safety concerns or maintenance needs
• Manage digital display systems, including troubleshooting and content oversight
• Serve as a liaison between athletics and other departments (e.g., IT, AV, Physical Plant)
Event Operations
• Lead the planning and execution of game operations for assigned sports
• Supervise event setup, staff assignments, crowd management, and post-event wrap-up
• Coordinate with officials, visiting teams, vendors, and internal staff
• Provide on-the-ground decision-making and problem solving during events
Administrative Support
• Assist in inventory tracking, supply distribution, and vendor coordination
• Manage BSN apparel and Coke distributions
• Participate in departmental planning meetings and help mentor Coordinators
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of relevant experience
