The Director of Student Affairs Title IX serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Student Affairs and plays a critical role in ensuring the University’s compliance with Title IX and other federal and state regulations related to sexual harassment, misconduct, and discrimination. This position provides expert guidance to students, faculty, staff, and campus partners, supporting a safe and inclusive campus environment. The Director leads responses to reports of sexual misconduct involving students, ensuring timely outreach, supportive measures, and the coordination of adjudication processes. The role also involves policy development, compliance monitoring, education, and training for the University community.
The Director collaborates closely with the University Title IX Coordinator, the Office of the Dean of Students, and other key stakeholders to ensure students are informed of their rights and options and that processes are fair, transparent, and trauma-informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to student reports of sexual harassment, including conducting outreach, providing resources, and coordinating supportive measures for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Serve as the primary liaison for students navigating sexual misconduct complaint processes, including informal and formal adjudications.
- In collaboration with the University Title IX Coordinator, oversee compliance with Title IX, Clery Act, and related federal and state regulations, including accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Oversee the investigation and hearing process for students, and collaborate with the Associate Dean for Student Conduct to assign investigators and hearing panelists.
- Provide training and education to the University community on sexual misconduct prevention and response.
- In conjunction with campus partners, review and update University policies and procedures related to sexual misconduct annually, ensuring alignment with federal and state laws.
- Serve as a resource for campus departments regarding Title IX-related issues and consult on best practices.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $99,450 to $124,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements- A graduate degree in higher education, law, counseling, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of related experience, preferably in higher education or a compliance role.
- Direct experience managing Title IX compliance and responding to reports of sexual harassment, discrimination, and misconduct.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations, including Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, and FERPA.
- Proven experience conducting or overseeing investigations and facilitating equitable resolution processes.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and fostering an inclusive campus culture.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Title IX legislation and its application in higher education.
- Strong communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
- Exceptional conflict resolution and active listening skills.
- Proficiency with case management systems and using data to identify trends and improve processes.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs tailored to various audiences.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- This role requires occasional evening and weekend hours to support campus-wide initiatives and events.
