Compensation Range:
$51,893.47 - $82,383.62
Position Summary:
Hiring Salary Range: $51.893.47 to $57,082.81 depending on qualifications.
Lead public relations and communications for the college including media pitching, media mentions monitoring via software, execute and produced internal communications for college wide projects such as launch programs and initiatives.
Job Duties
- Produce regularly scheduled communications to promote college programs, services and activities internally and externally.
- Produce media releases, articles and web content to support the HCC newsroom.
- Create and manage internal content for the college newsletter and intranet.
- Develop and implement associated college editorial calendar.
- Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior leadership ensuring college’s initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to college community.
- Develop and pitch story ideas to the media to elevate HCC’s brand awareness and promote the college’s programs and services.
- Maintain media expert list and develop training and media pitching.
- Monitor and provide reporting on HCC’s media presence and audience sentiment.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations and five to seven years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding marketing and public relations principles. Research is essential.
