Physician Assistant Adjunct Faculty Description
The South College Orlando School of Physician Assistant Studies is seeking a motivated and experienced educator to join our team as an adjunct faculty member for the Pharmacotherapeutics three-course series during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching pharmacy practice at the graduate level and a commitment to academic excellence.
The selected candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of full-time faculty to support the program’s mission of developing competent and compassionate PAs. Responsibilities include didactic instruction, student evaluation, and course assessment. The South College Orlando PA Program fosters a collaborative environment with strong administrative support and meaningful opportunities for professional development.
This is a fully on-campus role. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions, emphasizing clinical relevance.
- Engage graduate-level students in active learning and critical thinking.
- Administer student assessments related to assigned course(s).
- Curriculum development, delivery, and assessment (for assigned courses).
- Active mentoring of PA students throughout assigned courses.
- Acting as a course director or and/or co-instructor as is appropriate, in support of didactic instruction of PA students.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited professional pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) program.
- Current certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
- Active, unencumbered, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of two years of pharmacy practice experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of pharmacy practice experience.
- Completion of an accredited Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) residency program.
- Teaching experience in a graduate medical education program.
